A little more about me...

Thanks to my wonderful, hard-working husband, Justin, I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 amazing kids. Generally, my day revolves around my kids’ wishes: what they want to do is what I do, what they want to eat is what I eat, what they want to watch is what I watch, what they want to read is what I read, etc. Once a day (twice if I’m lucky) my kids give me a well-deserved break: naptime! During this glorious hour (or two), I actually get to do whatever my heart desires! Suddenly I am in charge again, and what I want to do is what I do! So what do I want to do?

A little over a year ago, Justin and I decided it was finally time to put down some semi-permanent roots. (Maddie, our 8-year old, has lived in 8 different houses/apartments/dwellings in her short life.) So, we bought our first house and began the process of making it our “home”. If I could, I’d probably spend all of my free time doing this.   "Home-making” has become my second job, and I love it almost as much as my first! We decided that this structure shouldn’t just be a few walls, a roof, and a floor, but a haven for the people who spend their time here. I want each room to reflect the personality of the person who resides there, and to share their warmth with everyone who enters. I want all of our guests to feel welcome as soon as they walk into our front door. I hope you can tell by our kitchen and living room that we are a warm and relaxed group who enjoy spending time with family and friends. I’d like it if you joined us for dinner at our kitchen table, or sat next to kids at the counter to draw. You’re welcome to plop down next to the us on the sofa to watch a movie. I want you to open the door to Maddie’s room and instantly see my wonderful, brilliant daughter: a sparkly, happy girly-girl who makes everyone she meets fall completely in love with her. When you peek into Bella and Noah’s shared room I hope you see that while they are definitely as different as night and day, together they make one dynamic duo that always keeps me on my toes. Feel free to grab a book or a toy and join the three of them as they spend time together in a play-room that is as bright and happy as they are.
